We are looking for a Facilities Manager to come on join us at Ingeus on a permanent contract! 

This role will provide key support on all aspects of Ingeus UK health, safety and facilities management and seek to identify areas for continuous improvement through creativity and flexibility. To take the lead on upcoming projects, enabling the organisation to deliver against key contracts.


Some of the duties this role will include are:

  • Accountable for providing expertise, advice and support to the business in the areas of Health, Safety and Environment in order to ensure that the Company does not breach its statutory duties and place the health and well-being of its employees or the environment at risk. Environment aspects can include business facilities management.]
  • Monitor, analyse and report on the effectiveness of health, safety and environmental policies, processes and procedures, providing recommendations for change/ improvements as necessary and take a hands on lead approach where necessary
  • To schedule and conduct Health & Safety and environmental compliance assessments & risk assessments of APM and its supply chain partners delivery locations during each stages of delivery
  • To investigate and report accidents and incidents of APM and supply chain providing a critical incident report and analysis for Executive Management Team
  • Work alongside the Head of Estates to ensure compliance with legal and corporate health, safety and environmental standards
  • Control the HS&E risk assessment process, feeding into the risk register process
  • Foster a safe and healthful work environment working all levels in a positive and constructive manner to encourage interest in safety and to work with managers in maintaining standards whilst recognising the need to balance financial resources
  • Provide advice, guidance and training across APM staff and supply chain in relation to H&S and environmental matters as required
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and best practice and ensure that APM’s policies and procedures are updated in relation to any legislative changes.
  • Develop, test, implement and maintain Business Continuity plans for the organisation and individual services as necessary
  • Ensure that all work is delivered within the budgetary and resource constraints of the organisation
  • Provide support and expertise to the business in projects and/or activities that have an impact on employee health and safety, facilities or environments
  • To act as a contact for external H&S bodies and enforcement authorities in relation to H&S and environmental matters
  • Co-ordinate the facilities management requirements of all centres to maintain a satisfactory standard facilities for all employees
  • Ensure all buildings meet the required legislative and statutory compliance
  • Manage the subcontracting arrangements with the FM provider ensuring all SLA’s and business requirements are met.
