We support local governments and organisations, working together to reduce the impact on those whose employment was affected during this time. As an Employment Coach, you will be focused on providing employment support to those individuals affected by COVID-19. You will encourage, support, and empower participants through their journey towards employment.

The Employment Coach (EC) is an essential part of our programme to support our participants who have recently become unemployed during the Covid 19 pandemic. The Employment Coach will build and maintain effective rapport to support participants to find sustainable employment through remote digital platforms and elements of face to face support.

This objective of this programme is to provide immediate and fast paced support to promptly identify the type of assistance required to enable our participants to re-join the labour market in a role aligned to their transferable skill set and previous experience. The EC is adept at working in a fast paced, evolving and targeted environment, working effectively with multiple internal and stakeholders to coordinate the support required. They will use their exceptional planning and organisational skills to ensure that all participants are given appropriate assistance in building activity levels to enhance opportunities to employment.

Some of the duties this role with include are:

  • Building effective and positive relationships with participants, working collaboratively provide the support that is required to enable them to quickly re-join the labour market
  • Ensures participants are fully engaged with our meaningful interventions and are delivered by energetic, engaging ECs.
  • Identifying areas for continuous improvement through creativity and flexibility
  • Providing a predominately remote and digital support service, effectively utilising platforms such as video conferencing, iWorks / iCareer, (and others) to recommend appropriate pre-employability activities
  • Ensuring that participants have an up to date and professional CV and, supporting statements and covering letter, tailored appropriately for each application
  • Supporting participants in preparing for job interviews, conducting mock interviews and assessment activity

Key requirements:

  • Experience of working in a fast paced, evolving environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience of working in a performance target driven environment
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and understand its importance in both client relationships and teamwork
  • Ability to deliver services remotely using digital platforms and confident using video conference to delivery high quality participant appointments
  • Sufficient experience of a specific industry sector to be leveraged as an industry specialism
  • An adept communicator with the ability to persuade, influence and listen to others
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and adapt to client needs and communication to inspire, motivate and challenge participants
  • Knowledge of the labour market, wider provision and stakeholders local to the area in which you are applying
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
