This role sits within the National Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP). NDPP programme is designed to support people to make simple changes to diet, weight management and physical activity levels and reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes.
As part of the NDPP management team The Head of Delivery delivery of the National Diabetes Prevention Programme. This role provides strategic and operational leadership which drives performance, builds strong relationships with our customers and stakeholders. The role will provide leadership to the contract to develop and support teams and individuals. The HOD will lead both operational and back office support including our Customer Service Team and be responsible for the management of a number business processes; providing clear, strong and inspirational leadership to foster a culture of high performance.
The HOD will be instrumental in NDPP business continuity planning and for the promotion of good working relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have Previous demonstrable management experience, ideally in Healthcare and/ or of a dispersed team. They will have knowledge of and relationships in the Local Health Economy, including with CCGs and Local Authority Public Health Teams. We are looking for a team member who have experience of managing successful implementation of the delivery of complex programmes.
Part of your job role will include;
Leadership and performance management
- Delivery the NDPP services to achieve contractual KPI’s
- Own the relationship between the commissioner and Ingeus at a local and national level
- Contract manage and work in partnership with NDPP subcontractors to deliver against expectations
- Lead, develop and retain high quality teams and support staff that are capable of ensuring best practice delivery of contracted services.
Financial
- Delivery of key financial targets as defined in the budget
- Leads the long-term financial performance of the team through effective operational and financial performance management
- Demonstrates business and financial acumen, ensuring the effective deployment of resources in order to deliver exceptional business results
- Uses financial analytics to monitor and drive performance, demonstrating innovations that add value to our collective offering
- Development, management and monitoring of budgets including analysis, reporting and action on variances
Mobilisation
- Work with colleagues across Ingeus at every stage of the bid stage for new contracts, providing accurate data and insight from operational delivery to ensure accurate bid modelling and competitive costings
- Support with all stages of mobilisation of new NDPP3 contract, including resource planning, project management and stakeholder management as required
- Ensure new contracts are integrated seamlessly with existing programmes across region

This is a permanent vacancy with a salary on offer circa £55,000 £60,000.
