Ingeus is all about people, our mission is to enable better lives. We specialise in delivering employment, health, justice and youth services, creating new and improved ways to support everyone daily and drive social change.

Our Key Workers are at the forefront of what we do – to empower, engage, build and maintain effective rapport with our participants.

As a Key Worker you will support a caseload of participants to reach their goal towards employment. You will use your exceptional planning and organisational skills and ensure that they are given appropriate assistance in accessing the right support from a range of resources and providers, encouraging and guiding them on their journey towards starting and sustaining in work.

Experience in Employment Services is not a must, but if you’re already working in the industry, or have before, we welcome you to join the Ingeus team. We know you’ll get off to a flying start!

We also welcome people who have worked previously as retail or store managers, travel or sales consultants, telemarketers, recruitment/HR consultants or hospitality managers - jobs that rely on great service and achieving targets. If your background is from health, social/youth or community work and you enjoy a target driven environment, we also want to hear from you! If you've done one of these types of jobs before, then you may have skills that would suit and as we provide full training, we'll help you pivot your skills into a new career as a Key Worker.

Ideally, you will have experience working in a performance target driven environment, be confident delivering one to one and some group-based learning interventions as well as delivering services via digital platforms.

A typical week will involve actively engaging with individual participants such as:

  • Conduct assessments with all referred participants to assess job readiness and the appropriate level of support required
  • Co-create individual Action Plan for every person and ensure it is reviewed regularly, ensuring it outlines any support options to progress towards sustained work
  • Identify barriers such as household income concerns, health & wellbeing of the participant and any care for dependents that may impact on progression towards work
  • Provide intensive support with job search on a one-to-one basis and in group settings, depending on the need
  • Conduct job searches via newspapers, online searches and contacting employers directly using various sales strategies
  • Ensure participants have access to workshop options such as health & wellbeing, interview skills, ready for work (in-work etiquette) and cold calling techniques
  • Provide support in preparing for work experience and other community-based programmes
  • Provide continued support whilst participants are in employment
  • Ensure all documentation is completed and maintained accurately on our database
