Site Host

Salary: £26,227.50

Location: Birmingham

Rebuilding your life after prison is one of the toughest challenges a person can face. But with the right support, it’s possible. At Ingeus, our Justice division is dedicated to transforming lives and creating safer communities. We work alongside individuals on probation and those leaving prison to empower change, provide opportunities, and support rehabilitation. Our mission is to reduce reoffending, build stronger communities, and help people realise their potential.

We’re looking for a Site Host to join the team— someone with a rare mix of compassion, resilience, organisation and flexibility.

About the Role:

As a Site Host, you’ll be the first point of contact for participants and visitors at our hub, playing a key role in creating a warm, safe, and inclusive environment. You’ll provide essential operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the hub, including managing petty cash, ordering supplies, and supporting advisors with attendance tracking.

Our hubs provide a safe and supportive space where individuals with lived experience of the criminal justice system can access tailored support and positive role models. Participants receive guidance in areas such as accommodation, health, finance and debt, education, employment, and training as they progress through their resettlement journey.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Customer Service: Acting as the friendly face of the hub, you’ll welcome participants, staff, and visitors, ensuring they sign in and that all security procedures are followed.
  • Stock Management: From stationery to refreshments, you’ll keep the site well-stocked and running efficiently.
  • Facilities Support: You’ll ensure all rooms and shared spaces are clean, safe, and ready for use, reporting issues and coordinating basic repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • Attendance Recording: Supporting the team by accurately logging participant attendance using our Client Attendance Tracker (CAT) system.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: You can engage confidently and respectfully with a wide range of individuals, building trust-based, non-judgmental relationships with participants.
  • Safeguarding Awareness: You’re mindful of the vulnerabilities some individuals may face and can spot and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately.
  • Proactive and Reliable: You take ownership of your responsibilities, stay calm under pressure, and keep things running smoothly—even during the busiest times.

Whilst we welcome applications from those with lived experience, this role requires an enhanced DBS check and HMPPS EL1 vetting. As we wait for the necessary background checks to be completed, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to shadow your colleagues, ask questions, and learn the ropes.

Our Justice division is dedicated to transforming lives and creating safer communities. Our mission is to reduce reoffending, build stronger communities, and help people realise their potential.

At Ingeus, we’ve spent time listening to our employees to build our benefits package;

  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to trade for additional leave.
  • EAP Support programme available 24/7, including 6 free counselling sessions.
  • Private medical insurance and life assurance.
  • Up to 2 days of Community Giving (volunteering) each year to support a cause that matters to you.
  • Eyecare vouchers to help with glasses or eye care.
  • Online Shopping discounts
  • Cycle to Work scheme and travel season ticket loan.
  • Long service awards to celebrate your commitment.
  • Salary Finance offering financial education and advice.
  • The opportunity to purchase extra benefits like critical illness cover and dental insurance.

We understand that everyone’s journey is different, and we’re committed to making our recruitment process as inclusive and accessible as possible. If you require any support or adjustments—whether that’s help with the application, interview format, or anything else—we’re here to listen and work with you to find the best approach.

Our goal is to ensure you can showcase your skills and potential in a way that works for you. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at careers@ingeus.co.uk to discuss how we can support you

If you think you have what it takes, don't delay and apply today - If we receive enough applications, this role may close early.
