This is a pivotal role where you’ll shape how we communicate with colleagues across the UK, leading internal communications for our Health Assessment business and ensuring people feel informed, inspired, and connected. You’ll design and deliver campaigns, content and engagement initiatives that foster inclusion and help colleagues feel part of our ‘one team’.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience within a multi-site, service-led business. You’ll have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and platforms, and you’ll be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, translating complex business information into clear, compelling and engaging content. You’ll be equally capable with data and analysis, and be a whizz with MS Sharepoint and other comms platforms. This is a busy and challenging role so strategic, creative thinking is a must, as well as the ability to tailor content to diverse audiences and channels, while upholding the highest communications standards.
What you’ll do
- Implement our internal communications strategy, and develop plans that support Operations and People priorities, reflecting our culture and values.
- Lead end-to-end delivery, from drafting to evaluation.
- Design campaigns and initiatives to meet business priorities and deliver specific project needs.
- Manage and optimise our internal platforms and channels to maximise reach and engagement.
- Maintain a calendar of internal communications and forward planning to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
- Create engaging content for a range of channels including intranet, newsletters, video, digital screens, scripts, leadership updates and events.
- Create case studies that tell powerful stories about our people and the difference they make.
- Contribute to business continuity and crisis communications where needed.
- Partner with the Operations and People teams to support and deliver change communications and employee engagement programmes, ensuring colleagues understand and engage with organisational transformation and activities.
- Act as a trusted partner to leaders and advise on effective communications approaches to deliver successful campaigns and change.
- Influence and challenge constructively to improve messaging and plans.
- Manage internal communications feedback loops and to ensure colleague voices drive continuous improvements.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of internal communications, using data and insight to evolve and improve our strategies.
- Maintain high editorial and visual standards, ensuring all communications are clear, accessible and aligned to Ingeus tone of voice and values.
- Line manage and provide coaching to our Internal Communications Executive.
- Pro-actively maintain best practice knowledge in internal communications.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a confident, proactive communicator with:
- Proven experience in internal communications in a multi-site, service-led company.
- Significant experience in planning and delivering change communications across complex environments.
- Ability to work strategically while delivering hands-on communications output.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to think independently but also act as a team player with an ability to deliver relevant solutions while managing ambiguity.
- Line management experience, including providing guidance and coaching to deliver high standards that achieve the desired impact.
- Excellent writing, storytelling and editorial skills, with the ability to craft and tailor messages to diverse audiences and platforms.
- Confidence in advising leadership teams, influencing at all levels and working cross-functionally.
- Knowledge of communications measurements and analytics.
- A passion for people, culture, branding and making complex messages simple.
- Experience and digital skills in using internal communications platforms (e.g. Poppulo). Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.
- Experience creating visual and video content.
- Willingness to travel as required for business needs.
