Accommodation Advisor
Salary: £27,783 pa + Benefits
Location: Rochdale
Rebuilding your life after prison is one of the toughest challenges a person can face. But with the right support, it’s possible. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for an Accommodation Advisor to join the team— someone with a rare mix of compassion, resilience, organisation and flexibility. This is for the person who understands that rehabilitation isn’t just about offering advice; it’s about rolling up your sleeves and proactively supporting individuals on their journey towards securing stable accommodation and rebuilding their lives.
About the Role:
You’ll mainly be based out of the probation office and will work with a caseload of individuals to provide advice and support relevant to their housing needs. You’ll carry out initial assessments to understand needs and agree an action plan. This may include support to end/sustain a tenancy, find accommodation or basic budgeting advice. Whilst we don’t provide accommodation, we work with organisations that do, and nurturing these relationships is key in this role.
You'll travel between probation, prisons and community hubs, meeting people where they are, so no day will be the same and the ability to travel is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
What We’re Looking For:
We particularly welcome applications from those with experience in housing and an awareness of housing legislation
What We Offer:
At Ingeus, we listen to our employees and have developed a benefits package that supports both your personal and professional well-being:
Whilst we welcome applications from those with lived experience, this role requires an enhanced Level 1 Vetting and enhanced DBS check. As we wait for the necessary background checks to be completed, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to shadow your colleagues and ask questions
At Ingeus, our Justice division is dedicated to transforming lives and creating safer communities. We work alongside individuals on probation and those leaving prison to empower change, provide opportunities, and support rehabilitation. Our mission is to reduce reoffending, build stronger communities, and help people realise their potential.
About Ingeus:
At Ingeus, we pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive culture where everyone is treated with dignity, valued for their contributions, and encouraged to grow. We are committed to supporting neurodiverse candidates and offer a clear and accessible application, screening, and interview process. Please contact us via email at jkumar@ingeus.co.uk for further details.
We may close the role early if we receive sufficient application so don’t delay.
