Financial Benefits & Debt Advisor Dorset

Salary: £27,783 per annum + Benefits - Successful candidates are subject to our Development Progression Scale, as well as annual salary reviews

Hours: Full Time 37.5hours per week.

Covering Dorset  – Due to regular travel the role does require access to transport (i.e. daily commutes, multi-site travel on occasion).

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive community-based debt advice service to people on probation or leaving custody.

What you will be doing?

  • Delivering a suite of workshops to individuals and/or groups of Service Users
  • Preparing & agreeing individual action plans
  • Providing specialist level Debt Casework, maintaining professional advice standards in line with the Financial Conduct Authority

To be successful you will require:

  • Experience of working with vulnerable/challenging people, for example people who have complex needs etc
  • Case Management experience (i.e dealing with multiple people, managing their expectations)
  • The ability to deliver short and tailored interventions to address barriers within a given timeframe
