Menopause Friendly

Ingeus signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge in September 2021, committing to normalising conversations and supporting people experiencing menopausal symptoms. With many women leaving work due to menopause, we prioritise a positive, inclusive workplace. Our menopause awareness approach led to finalist recognition in the Menopause Friendly Employer Awards for openness and engagement.

This accreditation recognises a business’s commitment to creating an inclusive workplace for people of all ages. It demonstrates positive practices around flexible working, lifelong learning, fair recruitment, and retention, ensuring employees can thrive at every stage of their career.

It demonstrates leadership in removing workplace barriers, actively recruiting and supporting disabled talent, and influencing suppliers, partners and peers to improve disability inclusion across the wider business community.

Employee Resource Groups

Our employee resource groups bring our people together, create community and help shape a workplace where everyone feels they belong. They’re colleague-led networks that offer support and space to connect, share lived experiences and champion positive change.

Our groups include InspireHer, Work & Family, Disability, Armed Forces, LGBTQIA+, Race & Ethnicity, MENtality, Menopause Support, Wellbeing Champions, and Mental Health First Aiders.

Our goal is simple: remove barriers so you can feel confident, focus on your skills, contribute fully and succeed in your role. If you need adjustments at any stage, from applying for a role to your day-to-day work, we’ll work with you to understand what you need and put the right support in place. Gender pay gap

Globally, progress on gender equality remains slow. Women still earn approximately 20% less than men worldwide on average. In the UK, the median gender pay gap stands at 6.9% for full‑time employees and 12.8% across all employees. Ingeus is proud to have a 0% median gender pay gap. This means men and women are paid the same on median hourly pay.

I am fortunate to lead the Disability Network at Ingeus, and really proud of the impact the group has had in shaping Ingeus priorities around disability inclusion. We regularly discuss ideas that are aimed at improving accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities and health conditions and put forward these ideas to the Ingeus leadership as to what we see as the priorities. On several occasions, the organisation has then run with those priorities and implemented changes with further input from the ERG. It is very satisfying to be part of an organisations that consults and listens in this way.

The Family & Work and Allyships ERG supports colleagues balancing work with parenting and caring responsibilities, offering a safe space to connect, share experiences and access meaningful guidance. As ERG Lead, I champion flexible working, raise awareness of the challenges faced by working families and amplify employee voice. By influencing policies, shaping benefits and promoting caregiver-inclusive practices, the ERG helps ensure colleagues feel understood and supported. Through advocacy, insight and community building, this group enables colleagues to thrive both personally and professionally, while fostering a genuine sense of belonging.

For me, the LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group is vital because it creates a safe, supportive community where people can connect, share experiences, and feel less isolated at work. It helps LGBTQIA+ colleagues feel confident bringing their whole selves to work, which supports wellbeing, job satisfaction, and performance. Personally, I’ve seen how feeling psychologically safe allows people to thrive professionally. The ERG also has real impact beyond community building, working with leaders to review policies, challenge barriers, and drive meaningful change. It ensures inclusion is not just a value, but something we actively practise every day.

InspireHER and Allyships empowers women across Ingeus through impactful activity such as International Women’s Day, Women’s History Month and World Menopause Day. The group raises awareness of key issues such as domestic abuse and women’s health, creating safe spaces for honest, lived experience conversations that reduce stigma and strengthen belonging. As ERG Lead, I support this by coordinating events, facilitating discussions, championing wellbeing and working with Diversity Champions to shape inclusive policies and best practice. Through workshops, development sessions and inspiring speakers, InspireHER helps foster a culture where women feel valued, supported and able to thrive.
