Recruitment journey

Belonging at Ingeus reflects our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion – explore our current roles and find where you belong.

We aim to keep our recruitment process as simple as possible and to make your experience as smooth as possible. While the process might vary depending on the business area, you can expect the following key stages.

Recruitment process

  1. Submit your application

Upload your CV and click ‘Quick Apply for a speedy application or complete the form online by following the instructions.

  2. Application review

We’ll review your application against the role criteria. If you are shortlisted, we'll move you to the next stage. If your application does not meet the requirements, we will let you know by email.

  3. Initial call

The first stage is an initial call with one of our team. We’ll tell you a bit more about the role and check your information against the requirements, answer any questions you might have, and confirm the next steps, including any assessments you’ll need to complete.

  4. Interview

If you’re successful, we’ll invite you to a face-to-face or virtual interview with the hiring manager. We may also invite you to visit one of our centres to learn more about us, this is optional and only for some roles.

  5. Background checks

We are required to carry out pre-employment checks for all our roles. These include Right to Work, references, DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) where required, and any registration checks needed. If a role requires enhanced BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) checks, we’ll make this clear in the vacancy advert. Enhanced BPSS checks begin after you accept the job.

  6. Getting started

Your manager will welcome you to the team, make sure you have everything you need to feel confident and supported from day one, and guide you through your role’s induction and training. If you are joining our Health Assessment Advisory Service as a Functional Assessor, you will complete a comprehensive six‑month training programme to gain accreditation.

We want everyone to feel able to apply and succeed at Ingeus. If you need any adjustments or support during the recruitment process, we’re here to help. This could be because of a disability, health condition or anything else that may affect how you take part.
