Subject to successful contract award

Lead high-performing teams that help people build brighter futures through meaningful work.

Are you an inspiring and inclusive leader with experience of delivering high-quality employment or health-related services? Can you motivate teams, build strong partnerships and turn performance insight into positive outcomes for people and communities?

We are inviting expressions of interest from experienced leaders for potential IPS Team Leader and management opportunities across Leeds and Bradford, subject to the successful award of new contracts.

Team Leader roles will report directly to the Head of Service, reflecting the level of leadership, accountability and operational oversight we are seeking.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and develop a community-based team: Provide clear direction, effective coaching and regular performance support to a peripatetic team working across local communities, creating an inclusive environment where colleagues can succeed.
  • Drive service quality and performance: Use data, insight and quality assurance to monitor referrals, caseloads, job outcomes and sustained employment, taking timely action where improvement is needed.
  • Embed the IPS model: Support consistent delivery in line with IPS and SEQF principles, maintaining a strong focus on fidelity, participant experience and continuous improvement.
  • Build strategic partnerships: Develop trusted relationships with local government, NHS integrated care systems, employers, voluntary organisations and community partners to strengthen pathways and outcomes.
  • Manage resources and risk: Plan capacity, allocate workloads and maintain effective governance, safeguarding and compliance arrangements.
  • Champion inclusive employment: Ensure services respond to individual needs and help employers create accessible, welcoming and supportive workplaces.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience of leading, coaching and developing teams in a target-driven service environment.
  • Strong operational management skills, with the ability to translate strategy and performance data into clear priorities and actions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence influencing partners at different levels.
  • A sound understanding of employment services, welfare-to-work programmes and the barriers people with disabilities or long-term health conditions may face.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, sound judgement and the ability to lead sensitively through change.
  • A commitment to inclusive leadership, service quality and positive participant outcomes.

Desirable, but not essential

  • Knowledge of, or experience of delivering, supported employment, IPS/SEQF models and fidelity requirements.
  • Experience managing services for people with complex needs, including disabilities or long-term health conditions.
  • Experience of contract mobilisation, service improvement or working within commissioned services.
  • Experience building partnerships across health, local government, employment and community services.

A role where results and purpose go hand in hand

These will be performance-focused leadership roles with accountability for service quality, team engagement, contractual outcomes and continuous improvement. More importantly, they offer the opportunity to shape services that help people build confidence, independence and a future through work.

Interested in leading with us? Submit your expression of interest to be considered for Team Leader or management opportunities if the contracts are awarded. Please indicate the level of role that interests you and briefly outline your relevant leadership experience. We particularly welcome interest from people who live in, or have strong knowledge of, the Leeds and Bradford delivery areas.
