Support and Progression Team Leader
Salary: £37,000 per annum
Location: Covering Central and West London
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time
Hours of work: 37.5 per week
As a Support and Progression Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of an exciting new programme by leading, coaching and supporting a team of Advisors to deliver high-quality, participant-centred support.
You will support day to day delivery through setting clear expectations and creating a supportive and accountable team culture. The role also involves overseeing day to day delivery, performance, quality, safeguarding and colleague wellbeing.
What you will be doing:
- Leading, coaching and supporting a team of Advisors to deliver high-quality, participant-centred support and strengths-based approaches in line with contract requirements.
- Monitoring advisor caseload activity, quality, engagement, outcomes and distance travelled, using data and insight to drive performance and service improvement.
- Setting clear expectations and supporting individual and team performance through regular one-to-ones, team meetings, caseload reviews, observations and coaching.
- Providing day-to-day guidance, supervision and support, helping advisors manage participant engagement, complex needs, risk, safeguarding and progression.
- Producing and using performance information to monitor delivery, identify trends and support quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with the Service Delivery Manager, operational colleagues, partners and local stakeholders to support delivery and effective participant journeys.
- Ensure accurate records, safeguarding actions, referrals, outcomes and quality evidence are maintained in line with policy and programme requirements.

You will require:
- Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as, presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to use performance data, quality insight and feedback to support delivery.
Desired Experience:
- Experience of managing high performance teams in a people focused service environment within employability, health, wellbeing, social care.
- Experience supporting colleagues who work with vulnerable individuals with complex needs, safeguarding concerns or wider personal barriers.
- Knowledge of local labour markets, community provision and stakeholder networks relevant to participant progression.
- Ability to be adaptable around leading teams through multiple channels, for example through face to face and digital methods.
